The time for change

Life has a way of reshaping our perspective.

After several years caring for my partner through early-onset dementia — and ultimately losing her — I found myself at a profound crossroads. That experience compelled me to reconsider not only how I lived, but what I chose to create. I needed space to heal, to restore, and to reconnect with something deeply meaningful..

I paused a long-standing career in IT and began retraining as a jeweller-goldsmith. What began as a personal journey of renewal has grown into a professional practice rooted in storytelling, sustainability, and transformation.

At my first exhibition, Winter Jewels (Association for Contemporary Jewellery, November 2022), the response was deeply affirming. It revealed that my work resonates beyond aesthetics — engaging emotionally, ethically, and intellectually.

My Practice

I design and handcraft all my jewellery in my studio, using traditional goldsmithing techniques and a modern, sustainable ethos. My collections are inspired by nature, architecture, and - most of all - the materials themselves.

I work almost exclusively with 100% recycled silver and salvaged materials: Formica, fine wood from furniture offcuts, even single-use plastics repurposed to ensure they’re anything but disposable. Contrast and transformation sit at the heart of my collections.

Each series is defined by the materials available to it; when those materials are exhausted, the collection closes.

Sustainability

Sustainability is not an aesthetic decision - it is a fundamental principle of my practice.

All the silver I use is 100% recycled, and the majority of materials are recovered or reclaimed. From materials to packaging, every stage is approached with care, with a focus on minimising environmental impact and reducing reliance on disposable resources.

I am committed to extending the life and value of materials - to elevating what is overlooked and revealing its potential with clarity and refinement.

Community & Collaboration

I’m proud to be part of a vibrant community of makers and artists. As a member of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery, the Wessex Guild of Craftsmen, The Artful Collective and other creative networks - formal and informal, I regularly exhibit across the South of England and love connecting with customers, fellow makers, and students through events and workshops.
